The Advanced Energy Systems Program is now accepting applications for a Critical Minerals Concentration. Students pursuing a concentration in critical minerals will focus their coursework and research within the field of energy studies with a particular emphasis on topics aligned with sub-topics within this specialization such as:
- leveraging and enhancing AI tools for energy applications
- power and energy management for data center operation
- leveraging biomass and water resources to strengthen the nation’s chemical supply chain via innovative chemical production technologies
- enhanced geothermal energy systems
- accelerate mining, industrial, and processing activities
