My research is centered on how numerical solutions to partial differential equations, particularly computational fluid modeling, can contribute to disaster resiliency in the energy grid. The potential of distributed renewable energy generation presents a unique solution to bolster the energy security of communities at increasing risk of climate disasters. I hope my work can contribute to these solutions through designing novel ways of modeling the highly turbulent flows present in extreme weather patterns.
